My friend is Christian and...?

If you read the Qur'an in Arabic in it's proper context you will find that it does not state that Jesus was not crucified or did not die, infact if you read all that is written about Jesus in the Qur'an it is very hard to not see him as the redeemer of the world and in essence, dare I say, Ibn Allah.
