Is my boyfriend going to propose?

So I really don't want to get my hopes up, or possibly ruin it by thinking about it too much, but Saturday night he told me he's going to do the '12 days of Christmas' and give me a gift every night from now until Christmas. With the first one was a really sweet poem about how much he loves me, etc. This is so out of character for him because he doesn't show emotions or do sappy stuff like this. We've been together almost 3 years and live together. Is he going to propose??
