So I met this awesome guy! He's not txting back, should I txt him?

I met this man Sunday night, and gave him my number. He txt me that night to see if it was me and tell me to be careful on my way home. The next day he txt me to say he had had a good time and wanted to see me again. I tol him that sounded like fun and he never responded. I'm wonder if I should txt him. I really don't think I should, but I'm not sure. I like him and don't want to seem desperate, to available, over eager.... What should I do!! I was thinking of asking if he's on fb...
