How is it that Chauncey Bill ups is an "All-Star" but Carmelo Anthony ISN'T?

Anthony is The Nuggets best player and he's the franchise. That's like putting Pippen on the All-Star team and not Jordan......and how is it that Anthony made "The Redeem Team" but not The All-Star Team? The Olympic Team is much harder to make........ Sometimes The NBA doesn't make any sense.
