My baby cried for 3 hours straight last night?

My son is 5 weeks old and he started crying at 10 and finally ped around a little after 1. I feed but sometimes supplement formula. I fed on both off and on an hour before he started crying. I fed him 2 oz of formula around 11 after feeding the whole first hour he cried. He kept pulling off and crying and crying. I changed his diaper twice. I tried swaddling him, rocking him, humming to him, making sure he wasn't hot or cold, make sure nothing on his body hurt, bouncing him, dancing with him, feeding him more, burping him, doing the bicyle motion, holding him laying across my chest (how you hold gy babies) burped him some more. He spit up and acted hungry but pulled off the everytime I tried to feed him. I fed him 1 more oz of formula around 1245 and he took it no problem. After he finished it he cried some more finally I layed down put him on my chest and let him cry. That only lasted 10 min and he FINALLY fell asleep. My question is what else can I do if this happens again? Why do you think this happened? My thought was gas. I'm praying that he doesn't have colic :(I went crazy trying to help him but didn't know what else to do. I felt so bad for him. If it helps he never usually spits up maybe once every two days. But today he has spit up ALL day at least 30 times. He also has a stuffy nose I have been suctioning it out throught the day. He was a little fussy yesterday morning also but not this bad at all he cried off and on for maybe an hour. But he usually doesn't do this. He usually wakes up every 2 1/2 half hours at night and he slept 7 hours this morning! My supply is going to be shot.
