How can i make a gear shaped cake?

I'm making a cake for my sons birthday...the theme is Imagination Movers. I can't find any gear shaped molds anywhere...unless i get one custom made...I don't want to do that since it's a one time thing. I guess i have to make one...but i don't know how. I need help please!
